Anti-Ice Campaign

Crystal Meth abuse is a serious issue in Australia. The aim of this raw, hard-hitting campaign for the NSW Police Force was to encourage and empower the public to speak up and report drug-related activity in their communities. Shot from a first person perspective, Sean captured this message brilliantly with the team at 303Lowe.

 

The executions were shot in one day in four locations. Each required a significant amount of propping. NSW Police provided some genuine goods, retained from drugs busts. Jo and Liz sourced old fence panels, used car tyres, surveillance gear, chemistry glassware and containers, large drums, buckets, tubing, ethanol based solvents, reptile enclosures (with dummy snakes!) everyday food goods to stunt double as ‘ice,’ and wads of fake cash… amongst other soft furnishings! Clothing had to be well worn to fit the demographic.

 

Janai’s mother saved the day by finding last minute talent - a body builder at her local gym to portray a meth cook.

 

Producer Petrea got into some heavy-duty animal wrangling at the first location, home to a pretty old and crotchety sheep while the crew attempted to tame a young Rottweiler….
